ADEPT was founded by a highly dedicated team with the vision to design, develop and manufacture a range of new generation, multi-fuel compatible, high performance, fuel efficient and environmentally friendly engines to meet the demands of new generation aircraft.
Solid financial support from our Private Equity partners, and technology development support from the South African Department of Science and Technology (Innovation Fund and Technology Innovation Agency) saw the project progress from concept to production readiness.
During 2014 and 2015, two dynamic new entities: Airmotive Technology (Pty) Ltd and ADEPT Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd were established to facilitate the production manufacturing, market entry and commercialisation of the ADEPT Airmotive engine range. All the critical manufacturing and assembly processes are in the process of being established in-house in a new 1,600 square meter (170,000 square foot) manufacturing facility.
During the transition from a development focused entity to a production, sales and market supporting business, our highly competent technical team has been bolstered by the addition of dynamic team members and strategic partners with particular strengths in global market support, and high quality manufacturing.
ADEPT engines are poised to become the powerplant of choice in the General Aviation industry.

Our investment in clean manufacturing technology, in building engines that run on readily available lead-free fuels, including ethanol blends, engines that are quiet, have the lowest exhaust emissions and Carbon footprint in both manufacture and operation, are our investment in the future of aviation. We also believe that flying should be affordable and accessible to those who want to take to the skies. We believe, in every sense, that Flying should not cost us the earth.
